Before I
continue my study in semester 4, I did ask some seniors about semester 4
subject especially Critical Literacy. Some seniors said this subject is very
tough and need to give some effort into this subject if I want to get an A.
Besides, they also said in this subject student need to think more and deeper
base one the matter or another word is “think out of the box”. Thus, for my
first expectation after heard about this subject from seniors, maybe I will get
into the mental hospital.
When the Critical
Literacy class have started, I realize this subject requires students to think
logically such as why and how it happen on something and also needs to come out
with evidence or the fact to emphasize the statement. Hence, the powerful word
that must be done by student is READING. I assume that through reading,
student can get the new knowledge to be used as reference and can find the
evidence. “Reading is knowledge”. Besides, not only from the reading that must be
done by student but they need to do some research on asking someone that very
professional or intelligent person such as professor or lectures. Therefore,
student can fully understand and can give good perspective on article that they
have read.
Thus, after I
know and understand the truth meaning of critical literacy from our lecture,
Madam Zariati, I realize that I need to read a lot to score in this subject.
Besides, I hope this is a good way to improve my English in reading and
writing. Moreover, I will be more excited to learn and do lots of homework and
practice more. The last word from me about Critical Literacy, it will never
have an ending.
